It has been 3 years since Alice returned from Wonderland. Life in the real world has not been easy. Uninspiring work, unrealized dreams and a rocky relationship with her boyfriend (and his family) had all but rubbed away the magic and memories of Wonderland. Helplessly, Alice watched herself grow older and less innocent each day. Which is why the reappearance of the Cheshire Cat one evening came more of a shock than a surprise.
The Cheshire Cat sat comfortably in the leathery driver's seat with its familiar big smile. Alice, though, was uneasily snugged beside it. Smiling tirelessly, the Cat told Alice how her next adventure will begin.
"You will resign at the end of January '08 while I serve notice. On the first week of February, we shall depart for 青岛 to visit your parents. By the second week, we will sojourn to 上海 and scout for either a 2 room or 1 room apartment. Concurrently, we can register the company. I will stay on, while you will return to Singapore and serve out your notice. By mid March, you shall come and join me."
"Before the trip, I will check with Willy about housing rents and location, and apply for deferment with the army. Yes, even the Cheshire Cat cannot escape mundaneness, unfortunately..."
"As with the last time, Alice, I offer you the red pill and the blue pill. If you take the red pill, I will show you how much deeper the rabbit hole can go."
